I have to say that I really have enjoyed Karen Blake in the morning, and quite frankly don’t care for the new teaming of her with John. It feels as though she has been relegated to a secondary position, and that doesn’t sit well with me. She is a star, and the station needs to realize that! I know that demographics drive a good number of decisions in broadcasting — but this one is a POOR decision. Give the show back to Karen exclusively, please!

I noticed that there is no longer a toll free request line. If calling from another area code, it is now considered a toll number. While the cost is minimal, I miss the toll free number, which I use when I am at home. I also wanted to find out who the Saturday afternoon DJ is. I love her personality, but cannot find her on the list of Oldies djs.

I understand that participating radio stations are being given the choice this weekend of which “American Top 40: The Seventies” show to broadcast (Sunday night at midnight on WODS): the regularly scheduled one from April 28, 1979, or a rare Dick Clark-hosted episode from March 25, 1972. I sure hope that WODS will honor the great Dick Clark and broadcast that episode on Sunday night!! What do you say, folks?

To whom it may concern,

I have to alert your engineering department of probable serious signal encroachment from the south and west. WODS-FM is not listenable while in transist to south of Providence RI, whereras in the past one could drive well into CT listening to your station. Upon hearing overlapping by some religious programming on 103.3 FM, I investigated, and found the culprit to be W235AJ, a supposedly low power channel from Montville, CT. Apparently, they are more than 6 watts (which is their assinged strength according to the FCC card. Soon upon entering CT at a location closer to Boston than Montville CT, W235AJ erases WODS-FM from being heard.

I truly love the station , I listen to it every day at work. great music it reminds me of the music my dj played at my wedding, which was amazing because it was last year, and NOT one person got off the dance floor:-)

Due to high volume of calls to that number the line can be unreachable at times. Sorry about that! I can only suggest that you keep trying.

I am a WODS Insider and have used some of my points on a prize that is no longer on the prize list and was not supposed to have been ended until March 20. It was the tool work truck for 790 points. Can you tell me what happened to it please? And if it is gone, what happened to the points I had entered for it? Thank you.

I WAS GIVEN THIS LINK SUPPORT TICKET #797934
PROBLEM IS THAT I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO CALL FOR THE 1,000 CONTEST AND THE PHONE NUMBER YOU PROVIDED IS NOT WORKING. I have been calling the number for the contest and it is saying that it is not a
valid number 1-866-327-9946. Says the number you dialed is not in service.

THANKS FOR ANY ASSISTANCE YOU CAN GIVE.

Sorry for the pains the number is causing you Pattie. But I assure you the number is correct, unfortunately due to a high volume of callers the number sometimes doesn’t work. the only recommendation I can make is to keep trying. Sorry again for the inconvenience.

During your contests, once you announce the song that will play when we need to call in, you shouldn’t announce the contest again right before the song: people start calling in during the announcement rather than the song, which is unfair to those who are listening for quite a while, e.g., if you had already mentioned Van Halen tickets would go to the _th caller during a Steve Miller song, you need to just play the song. Announcing the contest again totally messes it up for those who have been tuning in for a chance to call because it prompts others to call in before the song even starts. That’s not fair.

    Ed
    March 10, 2012 1:42 pm

And just to be clear: I mean announcing it again, literally before the song plays. What’s the point then? Just tell us to wait for the announcement at “x” time and we will call in then.

Don’t know if you realize this but all your songs are skipping. I listened from 10:30 to 11 PM tonight and every song skipped in at least 2 places. It happened yesterday as well.

Fruit Flies.. ahhhhhhhhhh,……
Hi Karen…. I work at a school that was inundated with fruit flies… I went on line and found a few suggestions. I went with one that worked great!!! Put vinegar in a plastic cup.. (just about filled to the top).. put the cups in a few spots.. you will be amazed how this attracts the little creatures!! Good luck!!

Hi Karen .. I had the same problem but mine were black flies.. We did everything you can think of in the house but we found the problem outside.. The flies had several nests in our pine trees and since we treated the trees. I have none.. Good Luck
