back to the 80s flashback

Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards in 1988 went to a band that calls Boston their second home…Wondering who they are?

It’s U2! They took home the big prize for 1987′s The Joshua Tree, which has since become a classic.

Album of the Year at the Grammys: Todays 80s Flashback

The Joshua Tree beat out Whitney by Whitney Houston, Bad by Michael Jackson, Trio by Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt, & Emmylou Harris, and Sign o’ the Times by Prince…Think U2 deserved Album of the Year over those other ones?

Here’s a live performance of “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” by U2 and special guest Bruce Springsteen:

Lyrics
I have climbed the highest mountains
I have run through the fields
Only to be with you
Only to be with you
I have run, I have crawled
