Sirs Paul McCartney and Elton John will join a host of other superstars, including Tom Jones, to play the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Concert in June, which is celebrating the 60 years of her reign atop the royal throne.

The Daily Express is reporting that McCartney will headline the Monday, June 4th show at Buckingham Palace.

Over 500,000 residents and fans are expected to attend the free show, which will be one of the biggest free concerts ever held in Britain.

Elton John, 64, said, “It’s going to be a great show, there are so many great artists.”

Take That‘s Gary Barlow, who’s helping to organize the enormous event, echoed those same sentiments.

It is going to be an amazing lineup of world-class artists coming together to play at one of the biggest and most exciting live music shows in recent years.”

Barlow also said, “I love the monarchy, love the Queen. What an amazing thing to look back on being a part of.”

As of yesterday, 60 percent of the acts have been confirmed.
