The legendary red slippers that Judy Garland wore on The Wizard of Oz are expected to hit auction soon. The slippers have been described as the “Holy Grail of Hollywood Memorabilia” and will likely sell for $3 million to the highest bidder.

Hello Karen, I listen to you every morning and love you’re craziness!! I’ve also been listeningto oldies 103.3 since you first came on the radio. Like all of your listeners, I love the Christmas Music. Now, I’ve have sent in a CD of Wayne Newton’s Christmas Music more than once now since your started playing Christmas Music years ago. No one seems to want to play this one particular song. Below are the lyrics to My Christmas Prayer by Wayne Newton and I would love for you to add to the collection and take out some of the no so meaningful Christmas songs, like the Drunken 12 days of Christmas and replace it with this song which in my personal opinion is the true meaning of Christmas, Peace on Earth and Good will Toward Men. Please let me know what you think and I will be more than happy to send you a copy of the CD to add to the wonderful Christmas Music you already play, with some exceptions.
My Christmas Prayer – Wayne Newton
Let there be peace on earth this Christmas, Let there be love in the hearts of all men, Let there be joy in the eyes of our children, and Let there be hope for all man kind again. Oh, Heavenly Father, as we rejoice on this Christmas Day, people around the world know the joy of giving. Their hearts are light with a feeling that they’ve done something good. but yet on the 26th of December the feelings of giving too often ends and the smiles of graditude realize that they can’t smile again until next December 25th. Heavenly Father, I know you’re proud of us on this Christmas Day, that we have shared our blessings with others. But Father, teach us that we must share all through the year and not just at Christmas time. So we may live together and love together with Peace on Earth forever more, this is my Christmas Prayer.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and I do hope to hear this song on Oldies 103.3, maybe not this year, but next.
